borrowed from carla del’s blog.. ;) <purpose driven life>

-:) for me the important of things can be measured by how much time we are willing to invest in them. the more time we give to something, the more we reveal its importance and value to them. if we want to know a person’s priorities, just look at how they use their time. time is our precious gift because we only have a set amount of it. we can make more money, but we can’t make more time. when we give someone our time, we are giving them a portion of our life that we’ll never get back. our time is our life. that is why the greatest gift we can give someone is our time. it is not enough just to say relationships are important; we have to prove it by investing time in them. words alone are worthless. relationships take time and effort, and for me the best way to spell love is "T-I-M-E." the essence of love is not what we think or do or provide for others, but how much we give ourselves. for me the most desired gift of love is not diamonds or roses or chocolate. it is focused attention. whenever we give our time, we are making a sacrifice, and sacrifice is the essence of love. we can give without loving, but we cannot love without giving. love means - giving up for the benefit of someone else. The Interview with God

I dreamed I had an interview with God.

“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.

“If you have the time” I said.

God smiled. “My time is eternity.”
“What questions do you have in mind for me?”

“What surprises you most about humankind?”

God answered…
“That they get bored with childhood,
they rush to grow up, and then
long to be children again.”

“That they lose their health to make money…
and then lose their money to restore their health.”

“That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present,
such that they live in neither
the present nor the future.”

"That they live as if they will never die,
and die as though they had never lived.”

God’s hand took mine
and we were silent for a while.

And then I asked…
“As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons
you want your children to learn?”

“To learn they cannot make anyone
love them. All they can do
is let themselves be loved.”

“To learn that it is not good
to compare themselves to others.”

“To learn to forgive
by practicing forgiveness.”

“To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it can take many years to heal them.”

“To learn that a rich person
is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.”

“To learn that there are people
who love them dearly,
but simply have not yet learned
how to express or show their feelings.”

“To learn that two people can
look at the same thing
and see it differently.”

“To learn that it is not enough that they
forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”

"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.

"Is there anything else
you would like your children to know?"

God smiled and said,
“Just know that I am here… always.”

…i believe that love can make you do anything…
…anything at all..

‘coz when that feeling creeps in on you,
it’s improbable, if not impossible, that you’ll ever escape it..
..not really because you CAN’T..
but simply because u choose to let it control you..
and why not let it,
if it makes you feel like a million bucks?!
what fool would not want to feel that way?…
and who can blame those who choose to risk
everything to make that feeling stay?..
to do all that they can to keep that love?…
doesn’t matter if it makes them look like trash..
…and make them feel like one..
just as long as they do evrything they can..
..give all they have..
…take every possible risk..
..to make that love linger..

it’s amazing what love can make u do..
…but it’s not always right to let love control you..
..before you risk losing everything,
u have to make sure it’s worth it..
…and that’s just the ironic twist about love…
you will never be sure if it’s worth it until
you lose everything…

weird..

but i know,as well as u do, that…
it won’t feel good to have regrets that
you know, will haunt you for a lifetime..

because in love,…

if u don’t risk everything..

..u risk even more..
